RECRUITING NEEDS


In addition to recruiting for the design and construction aspects of our tiny house project, THIMBY is currently looking for team members to fill the following roles:

ENGINGEERING

  • Lead Engineer - Oversees systems development and integration with architecture/design. This is largely a project management role which includes facilitating communications between the various systems teams and the architecture team, setting systems timelines, executing tasks as needed, and serving as primary contact for engineering questions.

  • Electrical Systems Co-Director - Leads development of the energy supply and demand model, battery and panel choice, and design of electrical systems and wiring with which to connect the house.  Responsibilities may also include work on sensors and a control mechanism for various other integrated systems.

  • Heating and Circulation Engineer - Leads development of mechanical systems, such as heating (water and space) and circulation.  Responsibilities include analysis and selection of optimal heat source, energy calculations, and teaming with the Electrical Systems Lead to provide calculations for the house-wide demand model.

COMMUNICATIONS

  • Printed Materials Manager - In charge of producing posters, brochures, etc. as needed and in accordance with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) and The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF) guidelines.

  • Content Strategist - In charge of coordinating the effort to document the tiny house project via various media from start to finish, including the project mission, objectives, progress, and final results of our team.
